About the 3D Electric Blues Band

Doug: “I think that for many in music today, it started February 9, 1964. The Beatles hit the stage of the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time. Yet for me, I remember riding around in Aunt Greta’s ‘59 Cadillac in southern California searching the radio only to hear ‘Got My Mojo Working’ by Muddy Waters and realizing as a child that the Beatles are ok, but this Muddy Waters cat is just cool. I never really did fit in too well. As time went on I noticed that the first Led Zeppelin album was sporting 2 Willie Dixon numbers and then the Rolling Stones were named after a Muddy Waters tune, would they have a career without many of the blues greats? So I concentrated on the true masters of this rock and roll thing and could never pull away from it. Many years later and many bands later I have returned to the roots and like playing the blues, only a little louder and a little faster. I could give you a history of my musical past, the many bands and projects throughout the years, but does it matter? Check us out. I am sure that you will dig it.” At about age 12, Don began playing guitar by learning from his brother Doug, and started performing in a couple of bands at 13 years old.
